This is just a pic of where my hair is at! It was wet and has shrinkage. I was at the beach!
I chose this song because I want the girls who had their first BC or if they are transitioning and are having difficulties we are still divas. Even if we do not fit society’s description of “beauty”, we are still beautiful. There are plenty of youtube videos and tumblr links and facebook pages to help you out with your switch, so don’t feel alone! :)
PRODUCT REVIEW!!
So I was on tumblr a few days ago looking for some good conditioner just to do a co-wash with and I fell upon Herbal Essence Hello Hydration (HEHH). I read some of the comments on it and I thought, why not try it out. So I purchased it (Walmart $3), and I love it! I wouldn’t use it or my DC, but just for a cowash. The smell is lovely and it really left my hair nice and soft. I tried it on my friends hair first and she said it was alright, nothing big. So that goes to show that it will work differently on your hair.
My hair is currently feeling good! It feels thicker and softer. I just have to figure out the shine component and then I’ll be complete! I’ll post the products that I am currently using soon. Also, next week I plan on doing Senegalese twists! So I’m super excited for it! :)

Hey followers! Every month I am going to start doing length checks. This , I think is necessary for anyone on the hair journey, especially if you have kinky hair. With kinky hair the growth may not be as visual so measuring ig and comparing pictures will be a great way to see growth. This was taken on August 16 and the next picture will be taken September 16. :)
Hopefully whatever I am using will be great with my hair. :) If I like what I see I will definitely post my regimen, and the products that I use! :) Also feel free to post any pics of your before and after hair lengths and what you used!
So I took out my braids and this is the current protective hairstyle I have in. I tried to copy this hairstyle and I must say I did a pretty good job! :)

So here is a review of my deep conditioning. I used Aveeno nourish + volumize conditioner and I really like it! In wet my hair and put a hardy amount in it and wrapped my hair with a plastic bag. I set it for 20 mins ( I was in a rush, but usually I would wait 45 mins) and I washed it out. My hair was shiny, soft and smelt really nice! Afterwards I did seal in the moisture with raw shea butter and went about my business. The next day my hair was still shiny and the moisture was still in my hair. I recommend this conditioner to anyone who is looking for a good conditioner.
Unfortunately I don’t know the price of this product because I get it for free, but looking on websites I see it is for $9.99. Hopefully this is in your price range, and if not, try buying it once and if you don’t like it try something new. :).
Remember, what works for me might not work for you and vise versa.
I had bought a lot of new products, so expect more rambling about how I like it and so forth. :)
